New Victoria Walking Tour shows lesser known side of Victoria
To show visitors another side of British Columbia’s capital city, Victoria has created a new series of four self-guided walking tours and maps entitled “Secrets of the City.”
The tours are themed and include: Happy Hauntings, showing visitors unexpected sights in Canada’s most haunted city; Forbidden City, offering tales from Chinatown’s secret city within the city; Law & Disorder, with stories of Victoria’s lawmen and criminals; and Fools Rush In, showcasing the rollicking days of the Gold Rush era.
The free walking maps are available at Tourism Victoria’s Visitor Centre or online at www.victoria.ca/tours.
